Producer, composer, filmmaker

Composer/Producer Neal Fox

Neal Fox is a composer, filmmaker, author, and artist. In his 20s, he landed a series of record deals with major labels. Signed to Polydor, RCA and Columbia Records, he had a series of singles and a Top Ten dance club hit.

When Clive Davis was fired from Columbia, Neal was stranded without a support team. Needing a steady income, he went into “the jingle biz.” A partner in Patterson Walz & Fox, Neal wrote and produced music for all the major networks and several TV shows. Among his credits are Coca-Cola, Sea World, Ford, VH-1, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, and co-scores for The Killer Tomatoes movies. He won several Clio, Addy and Telly awards.

In 2005, Neal produced and performed his one-man show, Pigeonholes, at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood. It combines music, animation, and live performance interacting with videos.

In the past few years, he won several film festival awards for music videos, film shorts, and a feature length documentary called, The Conspiracy Project.

Neal's latest album is titled, UNHINGED. Inspired by the events of 2020. The album was written, produced and performed by Neal as were all of the music videos that accompany the album. (Videos can be seen at www.YouTube.com/NealFox and www.Rumble.com/NealFox.)

I really thought I would have trouble with a course like this because I had some serious misunderstandings on how this all works. I went through and with each lesson I cleared up more misunderstandings I had. Now I feel like I can get in and really get started creating music on my DAW. I am sure I will be referring back to these lessons as I get up and going. Neal has a talent for making things very understandable and breaking down complicated subjects. This is what I needed. Neal is amazing. I love this course. I learned a lot every step of the way. He has this great way of making stuff that is not really important - not important, and stuff that is important somehow fun! He has a great sense of humor and big skills as a songwriter and producer and you really get a ton of insight into his process and how come he gets such a great sound on all his recordings. And the best part is, that he is not so serious about it that it becomes worrisome — at all. I can highly recommend this.
